main hall from stage The main hall is 10.5m (35') wide by 12.5m (40') long. There is a loop to assist those with hearing aids. This main hall is heated separately from the surrounding rooms and includes an independently controlled ventilation system and both fluorescent and subdued lighting.


 stage from main hall The additional stage area is 1m (3') high, 4.8m (16') wide and 10.5m (35') long. It is curtained at the front, sides and rear, and is fitted with a noise limiting device and independently switched lighting. There is a choice of access using mobile steps at the front of the stage, or fixed stairs at the rear.


lounge The lounge is 4.4m (14') wide by 9.7m (32') long. It is accessible either via the main entrance lobby or the double doors which open on to the main hall. It can be hired separately from, or together with, the main hall.


bar The fixed bar area in the lounge is equipped with double sink and worktop, kettles, crockery etc. for making and serving hot drinks. It has hatch access to the kitchen. It may be accessed directly from outside the Hall and from a stable door to the main hall.


kitchen interior The kitchen is 4.4m (14') wide by 4.4m (14') long. It has 9m (29') of worktop with shelving below, and a mobile, stainless steel food preparation unit.


kitchen from hall A shuttered serving hatch 2.4m (8') wide opens on to the main hall. The kitchen facilities meet current Environmental Health standards and include a commercial electric cooker, a large double sink with double drainer, ample electrical sockets, a small refrigerator, an electric urn (192 cup capacity), and kettles, crockery etc. for making and serving hot drinks.


Male, female and disabled toilets are situated off the main entrance lobby, with a separate single toilet close to the stage. The disabled toilet has baby changing facilities.

Parking for 56 vehicles is available to the right hand (east) side and at the back (north side) of the Hall.

There is a "dropping off zone" for the disabled or infirm on the left hand (west) side of the Hall, with a level path direct to the main entrance at the front (south). The Hall has a wheelchair to facilitate access.

Delivery of food to the kitchen is possible through a door on the right hand (east) side.


Furniture & Equipment

There are 30 folding tables, each 1.8m (72") by 0.76m (30"),
25 stacking tables, each 0.6m (24") square, and
200 upright stacking chairs.

There are 120 cups, saucers and tea plates, and several electric kettles and tea pots.

There is a boom microphone and speakers (additional hire fee £10).

All fire safety equipment and first aid supplies meet the statutory requirements.

Coathooks are located in both the hall and the lounge.
